Treasurers Report
Nigel presented details of monthly income and outgoings throughout the 2024-25 season. The net result was that the club had approx. £55.43 less income than outgoings this year. This was intentional and due to the club contributing to Christmas shindig as agreed at last AGM last year.
Discussion
· Membership – No change was thought necessary due to attendance remaining steady throughout the year.
· Subs – No changes to subs is considered necessary at this time.
· Rules/Guidance . – There were a number of discussions about behaviors:
· Verbal abuse – it has been noticed that there has been a small increase in critical comments directed at players. This is often directed at players of the same team, where another player is unhappy with certain play or choices made. This should stop and Colin will take AP to remind players about conduct in this regard.
· Barging off the ball and pushing – it has been noticed that this has become more frequent. While it is recognized this is “part of football” in the competitive game, there is little place for it in social football. Colin will take AP to remind players about conduct in this regard.
· Goalkeeper Long Balls – it has been noticed this practice has increased slightly of late. Colin will take AP to remind players about the constitution on this.
· Start time – We now have a team who regularly play immediately after us. We often do not start until 10-15 after 8pm. Colin will take AP to remind players that we should arrive in good time to start at 8pm.
· Team Selection
· Team Tops – there have been numbers occasions where players are not wearing an appropriate coloured top for their team. Colin will take AP to warn players that if this continues we may introduce a fine system accordingly.
· Availability updates – It was agreed that teams will be selected by 5pm, any player who has not indicated their availability at that time will not be considered for selection.
· Kit
· The subject of goal keeper gloves was discussed. Finger save gloves are thought to be preferred. Colin took action to discuss with Lewie who has purchased gloves for the club in the past.
· Ben will look into the possibility of purchasing balls in bulk.
AOB – Some discussion around play led to an agreement to re-iterate certain guidances developed in previous years:
· Nathan asked about the possibility of paying subs in advance. Colin agreed to accommodate this.
